Heather studied Liberal Arts at Emory University , Atlanta, Georgia and while there was on the Dean's List. In 1988, she came to England to read English Literature at Southampton University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. She went to London where she received a Postgraduate degree in Performance from Trinity College of Music. She was a soprano soloist in oratorios, operas, and song recitals in many venues in London including St. John Smith's square, the Barbican and the Royal Albert Hall.
