Young Sports Personality of the year

Young Sports Personality of the year
Sunday night provided some much needed publicity for racing with Tony McCoy being awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award, it's great given that racing does not always get the publicity it deserves no one could not question Tony's dedication to our sport. 17 year old Tom Marquand won the 2015 flat season apprentice championship, and was nominated for the young sports personality of the year. Tom has ridden for the yard a few times this year and we are pleased that the yard played its part by providing his first Ascot win aboard our own little stable star Childesplay (Andrew Knott and Wetumpka Racing). It was great that this win was shown during the nominations, albeit very briefly. Unfortunately Tom was not successful in winning the award, but again great for racing that his achievements were recognised being one of 3 finalists. Whilst Tom will be in even greater demand during 2016, we hope to be able to use him to ride for us.
